Car plate recognition for German Police

The R&D project was pursued fallowing a call for offers from the Bayern Police for a smartphone app capable to quickly and accurately read car plate numbers and cross reference them with the central police DB. The prototype solution we had was within the requirements. Unfortunately, due some bureaucratic aspects in term of privacy and security, the project was cancelled.
